About the Program
The Smart Management for Small Water Systems program is administered by the Environmental Finance Center Network (EFCN), a university-based organization creating innovative solutions to the difficult how-to-pay issues of environmental protection and improvement. The program is brought to you in collaboration with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and affiliated sections.
Are upcoming staff retirements going to leave you with a knowledge gap? Do you have high employee turnover? How would you describe your workplace culture? When hiring, where do you look?
This training will focus on how to recruit, select, train, and retain water operators and water system employees. Attendees will learn how to develop a succession plan, attract new talent and create and maintain a workplace culture that keeps employees engaged and excited to be working for a critical industry in their community.
Trainer: Khris Dodson, Associate Director - Syracuse University Environmental Finance Center
