Your vote is essential to help shape the future of OAWWA.
What is a Section Assessment?
The Ohio Section is proposing a modest 10% Section Assessment to enhance and grow member services. For Individual Members, this means about $24 annually—less than $2 per month. Utility and Service Provider Memberships will contribute a capped amount of $229 annually. Student, Honorary, Retiree, and Life Members are exempt from the assessment.
Why is this needed?
Current revenues sustain existing services but don’t allow for growth or modernization. The assessment will enable OAWWA to:
- Expand operator training and educational programs to meet growing industry needs.
- Launch leadership and mentorship initiatives to support professional growth.
- Increase scholarships for Ohio students pursuing water-industry degrees.
- Improve operations and member services through dedicated staff support.
With your support, the OAWWA will remain strong, innovative, and prepared to meet future challenges.
How Does Voting Work?
To approve the Section Assessment:
- At least 25% of OAWWA members must vote.
- Of those voting, 2/3 must approve the measure
The voting deadline is May 1, 2025 at 5:00pm.
